=> Explanation : USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, an industry standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and communications protocols used in a bus for connection, communication, and power supply between computers and electronic devices. The first USB standard was 1.0 which was introduced in January 1996. The USB 3.1 is will be an update of USB 3.0 which was released in November 2008. It will be backward compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0. Using three power profiles of those defined in the USB Power Delivery Specification it lets devices with larger energy demands request higher currents and supply voltages from compliant hosts. USB 3.1 is compatible with up to 10Gbps data transfer rates. That means a full movie can be transferred in a single second, theoretically.

विस्तार : उल्लेखनीय है कि USB का अर्थ होता है यूनीवर्सल सीरियल बस (Universal Serial Bus)। यह कम्प्यूटर तथा अन्य इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उपकरणों को आपस में जोड़कर सूचना का आदान प्रदान करने का एक अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानक है जिसे 1990 के दशक के मध्य में तैयार किया गया था। USB का पहला लोकप्रिय मानक USB 1.0 था जिसे जनवरी 1996 में उतारा गया था। इसके बाद क्रमश: USB 2.0 और USB 3.0 को उतारा गया था। USB 3.1 वर्ष 2008 में उतारे गए USB 3.0 का ही संवर्द्धित स्वरूप है। इसके माध्यम से सैद्धांतिक तौर पर एक सेकेण्ड पर एक पूरी फिल्म को दूसरे उपकरण में हस्तांतरित किया जा सकता है।
