1. The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh today launched the Web application of Delhi Police for issuing Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) to the people of Delhi who require the PCC for emigration, employment etc

The Tamil Nadu government would implement six integrated drinking water schemes for various local bodies in Theni, Sivaganga, Kanyakumari, Coimbatore, Erode, and Virudhunagar districts, all totalling Rs. 1,672.01 crore

5. Having received the in-principle nod to start a full-fledged bank, IDFC today appointed Ravi Shankar as the head of the proposed bank’s financial inclusion and rural business initiative.

1. The Indian Cotton Federation (ICF) is organising the 2nd All India Cotton Conference on August 12 and 13 at The Residency in Coimbtore. The theme of the conference is Indian Cotton Scenario in the current context 2014-15’.

2. In her address at the 12th India-ASEAN meeting in Naypyitaw (Myanmar), External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said the new government in India would like to stand with the grouping and take the relationship forward so people’s aspirations for growth and development could be fulfilled.

3. The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (Credai) has decided to work towards the theme Homes For All by 2022. 7. China on Saturday successfully launched a remote-sensing satellite to carry out scientific experiments and provide early alerts about natural disasters. The Yaogan XX satellite blasted off at 1:45 p.m. local time on the back of a Long March 4C carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in the country’s northwestern Gobi desert, according to the centre’s statement.
